last weekend, a group of us went to Kluang to make the Change Your World Concert happen.
it was inspiring to see so many youths gathered together to make a difference.
i had the honour of interviewing the students that ran the CYW Quest IN THEIR SCHOOL! and they shared that they just boldly went to as the teachers' permission to run the quest during the free period and from there, the teachers were so impressed that they took it on to the other classes and the outcome was many came to the concert.
although the H1N1 prevented some of the students to come, they were not deterred but collected money for one of the rep to buy the food for the Project Railway.
i can only give a glimpse of the whole picture as i was not there all the time but if u get a chance to hear from pc/kel u would hear outrageous stories on how the students were changed and how they came to have a heart for their own city - KLUANG.
Chris and Monica spearheaded the event. Although they were both not feeling well, they still packed their bags, came without complain and make the whole thing happened. and u know what?
every time i panicked, i whispered urgently into the walkie-talkie "CHRIS!! CHRISS!!" "CHRIS, CHRIS, CHRIS" and he strut down the aisle calmly and ask me what i want. hahahaha... and in the beginning, he stood with me to give me 'morale support' ahahahahha...
and monica hold her own as well, constantly, we would be hearing her jokes through the walkie-talkie, lightening the stressed ppl like me... hahahah. monica say that she's getting the tee shirt signed for neil's..... hehehe...
the photos are in random order yah... after the concert there is 'MEET RELENT' corner where they can get their albums signed... we guessed Jude has the most 'fans' cos his queue is always long but then it could also be caused it's the 'beginning of line'... ah but then it's also could be cos neil announced earlier in the concert that he already has a girlfriend.. so... i'm not making any conclusion.. ehhehe..
as the stage manager, i get to be at the 'backstage' with the band. and got the privilege to ask them pose for my small little phone-camera... hehehe....
i was given instructions to have the ladder there for joel to shoot...
then i noticed.. ohh.... (it dawned) for the cameraman as well... mmmm... learnt something new.
ok. this is priscilla. one of the participants in the concert and also i interviewed her nervous speech during the shooting. i WAS quite surprised when she asked me to take picture with her after the whole thing.... hahhaa.... but i forgot to ask for a copy but i easily found her blog and 'stole' my own picture... ahahha...
