2009 Leadership Retreat

every year, during Hari Raya holidays, all the leaders in Eaglepoint (puchong+penang+damansara) will go over for a retreat for fellowship and renewing of vision for the following years.

over the years, the planning part has reduced more and more and this year, it's more retreat than planning. in fact, i think 3/4 of the time was used to play and fellowship!

If i've not mentioned it before, when all the 'leaders' is in the same place, there's bound to be much laughter, play and especially when they play games. you should see how everyone tries to lead and everyone giving an opinion. hahahaha....

here's some photos:

started off with extremely warm welcome.

Then, telematch.
first, they tried to bring the bridge of straws down to the floor unbroken.

after that, they were asked to create a many legged monsters!! hahahaha...
This year's camp, we gotten Life Game's creator to facilitate the CHURCH GAME with with use. every 3 people is set in a group taking care of one church, every four churches make up a community. all this in a board game style as below.

during the opportunity for a break, me and charlene met steven n family half way in our walk. and the kids invited us to the playground. hahahaha...

one of chris can take up four of us! hahahaa...Finally, i just one to share with you that you never know when will be rapture. and you can't predict when you are called to go... or left behind. it's not in your hand. when you think about this, think about those that's left behind. they matters.
we celebrated the september anniversaries - mark & carolyn, ps jojo & ida, ps tim and teresa.

we also celebrated the sep babies - max, faith, ps shawn, alan, and that was the actual day of jor han's bday (same day as pc but she was not at the camp)! the ice cream were of course for everyone present! simple gestures of honoring.

as the annual custom of leadership retreat, we always end the last night by doing communion together where we take the cup together and then we break bread with one another!
